FUN Union creates and distributes entertaining and educational animations for preschoolers and primary schoolers that help to develop key life skills, including communication, cooperation, creativity and critical thinking. Headquartered in Hong Kong, FUN Union has a portfolio that includes internationally celebrated and award- winning animation brands ­– KikoRiki, BabyRiki and PinCode.

Challenge

Customer needs a powerful content management platform in a very short term. Platform would be a an additional engagement channel and part of long-term marketing strategy of audience transition from online to offline.

A list of features required at the very beginning:

• Create simple game engines of different types to be customized by editorial team
• Allow editors to publish videos on regular basis
• Publish educational content for parents
• Standalone application look and feel
• Be cross-platform
• Provide best user experience on all platforms: desktop, tablets and mobile devices

Technologies

We choose Drupal 8 as a platform for its flexibility and enhanced capabilities for enterprise solutions.
Frontend part was implemented on ReactJS, it allowed us to build fast and reliable cross-platform interface.
